I am Shipwreck Lodge. Carefully placed amidst towering sand dunes in the remote north of the Skeleton Coast National Park, I offer a one of a kind lodging experience. Each of my 10 shipwreck chalets sit silently amongst the ripples in the sand, resembling the thousands of shipwrecks that are scattered on the shores of the remorseless Skeleton Coast. Embark on educational excursions and learn all about the desert adapted flora and fauna. If you are lucky you may spot Namibia’s National Antelope — the Oryx— or even the rare desert elephant while exploring the dried out, ephemeral riverbeds and roaring sand dunes. End the day enjoying the unforgettable sunset on the main deck or sipping hot tea by the cozy fire inside the lodge, followed by a scrumptious three course dinner.
