ABOUT ME

I am The Manor at Ngorongoro. Sit back and relax in an age of grandeur. My subtle white structures are elegantly placed throughout the grounds giving a sense of intimacy. With 9 cottages, a family stable and a glorious main house, there is enough space for everyone. Meander through perfectly manicured gardens full of lush greens with pops of reds, purples, yellows, and oranges or take a walk into the 1500-acre coffee estate that surrounds me.

WHAT TO DO IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD

Explore the infamous Ngorongoro Crater. Arise early to a scrumptious breakfast and then hop in the car to climb up and over into the crater, right in time to watch the fog lift. It is magical. The crater is a caldera — a 100 square mile, unbroken, unflooded, extinct volcano, lush with vegetation. This is the most popular park in Tanzania because you will see animals. From solitary black rhinos and resident lions to zebras, wildebeest, and hippos, there is so much wildlife to discover. Once famished, a bush lunch will be served right there on the crater floor.

Lake Manyara is not as popular at the Crater, but it is worth the trip. Drive through up and down the shoreline of the lake to find the elusive leopard, resident lions as well as tons of flamingoes, elephants and of course the baboons.

Don’t feel like exploring outside of the Manor grounds, not to worry I have plenty of activities to fill your day —

Play croquet in the garden
Slowly ride horses in and around the coffee estate
Mountain bike up and down the hills around the Manor

SHARED SECRETS
