ABOUT ME

I am Maçakizi. But it may be easier said Matcha-Kizi. I am a child of the 70s, born to the streets of Bodrum. After some time in the city center I made my way north and nestled in the Göl Türkbükü Bay. The hills I now live on are covered with blooming purple and pink bougainvillea. My magnificent ocean views can be seen from every angle of my property. Walk from you room through my lush gardens to arrive right down at the oceans edge to enjoy a swim in the turquoise blue waters of the Aegean Sea or simply bask in the sunshine while slurping on a delicious cocktail from my beach bar.

Eating is essential to me. Feasting at my late, laid back breakfast may be the highlight of your day. Turkish treats, lattes, omelets, fruits and melt in your mouth French Toast are just a few of the options I have prepared for your taste buds. My open floor plan allows for constant outdoor indoor vibes getting the best of both worlds. But the food doesn’t stop there. I have both a lunch buffet and a full dinner menu ready to fill your grumbling tummy.

WHAT TO DO AT MACAKIZI

There really is no need to leave this sanctuary, but if you are in the mood for a sunset stroll, or craving some cool and creamy ice cream during those high temperatures, there is a small boardwalk that will take you along the water to bustling bars, restaurants and cute little shops.

Being seclude has its perks, but if you want to explore beyond the confines of this beautiful resort, consider renting a car. Bodrum is a short 30 minutes ride away from Macakizi and if you are feeling adventurous, the famous travertine terraces of Pamukkale are worth a visit.

If you would like to get to know more about Bodrum and the area, ask the front desk to help you organize a tour and take in Bodrum Castle, the ancient amphitheater or the mausoleum.

The Nuxe spa is the perfect place for you to enjoy a relaxing massage, body scrubs and wraps. Also if you haven’t had the time to get your nails done before your trip, not to worry pedi and manicures are available as well. The spa at Macakizi boasts a stunning hammam, which might be too hot to enjoy during the day but in the evening it might just be the right thing to do before falling into your comfortable bed.

Personal trainers are available and pilates classes are offered daily, ask the reception for more information.

SHARED SECRETS

Right at 2pm there will be a loud tribal sound that calls out to the rest of the bay that the famous Happy Hour is on at Macakizi and a lunch buffet of delicious Turkish cuisine will be laid out delicately.
