ABOUT ME
I am Riad Baladin. Located right in the heart of the Medina of Essaouira. this is the only space where you should stay visiting this ocean breeze infused city. A wave of elegance and serenity will surround you when soaking up some sun on my rooftop or downstairs in my reading area. Harbor cities can be quite windy but not to worry my walls will protect you. Mornings in my Riad are quite a treat. Enjoy your breakfast on the sunny terrace with amazing views across the rooftops of Essaouira. My delicious Moroccan breakfast includes everything from bread, pancakes, jams and fresh juice to homemade granola, omelets and of course Moroccan mint tea.
WHAT TO DO IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD
Enjoy a camel ride on the beach a little south of the city.
Get lost in the Souks of Essaouira.
Eat. There are so many good restaurants in and around the medina — Pasta Baladin, Taros, Yoo (Frozen Yogurt), Beach and Friends (Beach Restaurant), Ocean Vagabond (Beach Restaurant), just to name a few.
Take a stroll to the port to get the famous shot of the city from the south. Here you can find the bustling seafood market with delectable treats.

Riad Baladin is also the proud owner of Pasta Baladin — one of the best Italian restaurants we have ever been to. It is absolutely refreshing to eat something other than tagine all day everyday. It is just a hop and a skip from the Riad, so your tummy won’t have to wait too long for really good food.

Expect to be welcomed by Nadine who will most likely be able to talk to you in your native language. She knows the city like the back of her hand and will introduce you to all the hip restaurants and sights worth seeing. Expect to fall in love with your room and the clean aesthetic throughout.
