ABOUT ME
I am Hotel Amira. A boutique hotel located right where you want me to be. There is no better place to rest your tired feet after spending a day roaming the vibrant city of Istanbul. All the things that should be on your “must see” list are literally walking distance. I have 32 rooms to choose from; each one unique from the rest. I would recommend booking one of my terrace rooms. They are the best of both worlds: a quiet, serene place to lie your head and a porch to enjoy the Istanbul ocean view with some breakfast, tea or some afternoon snacks. They book out fast but not to worry if you don’t get one as I have a beautiful rooftop terrace for everyone to enjoy.
My staff has just the right combination of humor and knowledge, and are always up for giving some amazing recommendations. Whatever you need they will help you. They simply go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable and memorable as possible.
Don’t forget to tip.
WHAT TO DO IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD
In 10 minutes you can walk to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia Museum, Topkapi Museum, The Basilica, the Grand Bazaar, and of course a bunch of restaurants with amazing food. Want to be even more adventurous, don’t be shy, grab a metro card and jump on the city’s public transport to find yourself in so many more majestic places.
SHARED SECRETS
Probably some of the best kebabs can be found around the corner at Istanbul Cheers Soul Kitchen. The mixture of all the Turkish flavors is to die for.
Don’t take cabs within the Old City. They will charge you a lot and you can basically walk everywhere you need.
If you are a Museum junkie make sure to get the 5-day fast pass ($28) to get into a lot of the fantastic Museums/Palaces. Visiting Topkapi and Hagia Sophia will already pay off the card.
Want the perfect view of the Blue Mosque at sunset, grab a tea or a bite to eat at the Seven Hills Restaurant.

PERSONAL PERSPECTIVE
When we travel we usually don’t care too much where we stay. We have always been under the impression that where you lay your head doesn’t play much of a role in experiencing a city and a culture, but we were wrong. For the first time we are starting to understand why some people come back to one place time and time again; when the experience has been so amazing that the travel destination is starting to feel like a home away from home. Hotel Amira is one of those places.
